"One Moment, One Day Can Change Everything"Imagine your life changing in one moment of time! Mine did at noon on February 9th, 2001 in a major car accident. Nine years later, my life is nothing like it was back then.At that moment in 2001 as I was driving 60 miles per hour in the fast lane of the Highway 65 expressway in Northern California, a loud male voice came into my Jeep moments before the accident. The voice declared "SLOW TO 35"! What would you do? Well, I decided to immediately follow that advice and slowed to 35. Seconds later a car with three young men sped past me and stopped completely at a traffic signal up ahead even though the signal was green, and then they turned 90 degrees in front of my approaching Jeep. There was no chance to avoid the collision. Both vehicles were demolished. I incurred chest and leg injuries but not life threatening. As the CHP officer asked me about the accident, I told him of the voice. He responded, "Mister, if you had been going 60, you would be dead now--I see it all the time!" I then understood I had been given a second chance at life. But why?Nine years have passed. You would normally expect your life to go back as you lived it before such an accident. But my life changed dramatically. Almost immediately it seemed I was meeting people that I would never usually meet. They seemed to give me advice of one sort or another. For example, one person said that I should document the things that would happen on a daily basis---that it would be important for the future. For some reason, I took that advice and now I have 9 years of notes which detail events and people that have come into my life. I know I would have forgotten so much if I did not make these notes. This advice was so important. As the years passed, even stranger events would enter into my life. It started for example, when I began to have "visions" in an awake state in the early morning hours after being wakened by lights going on and off and my bed shaking in my bedroom. Something wanted to awaken me to have these visions. A pattern developed of having three to five such incidents a week. All kinds of visions of people, places, events. But why? A couple of years later, one day I was struck with a severe craving to paint---like an artist---even though I never had the motivation, training, or ability to paint. I started painting that very day I encountered that craving. I have now have hundreds of paintings and have shows of my works. And soon thereafter, I started seeing "things" in rocks and sidewalks, and later in the clouds. I started passionately to take pictures every day and found that there were messages in the earth and in the clouds. I now have hundreds of thousands of such pictures. This led me to publish two books in 2009 and 2010 called "A Journey to the Clouds" and "Faces of the Universe", which are photographic essays of cloud messages from around the world. The picture that accompanies this article is me with one of my most prized cloud photographs. This cloud is of an angel that appeared in the sky when I was walking a labyrinth with my wife Carol in Sedona, Arizona in 2008. It is simply incredible that this could appear before us and amazing that I could capture it on camera. The journey goes on everyday now. I never quite know what will appear to me, what messages or visions will come during the night or day, or what people I might meet. I do know that this is all so exciting and enlightening. At times, it is not easy to take all this in and deal with it. It is my life now. And that is how one moment can change your life!In future blogs, I will explain in detail many of the unexplainable events that have occurred to me and my wife Carol and my beliefs why this is happening.-Tom Lumbrazo

"The Eagles Have Landed"Last February, 2010, I had a very special few days that just are unexplainable. Since my car accident in 2001, I have encountered many so-called paranormal phenomena. But this story is quite different in that I can show it to you visually. Here is the story...One early morning in February around 4:30am, I had a vision. It was not a drea as it felt so real and so surreal at the same time. Little did I know what was to happen.Imagine a vision that was a story of 3 days of my life. In the first day within the vision, I was walking up the front walkway to my home and saw a 3 inch hole in the ground at the house's concrete foundation. I felt it was no big deal. The second day within this vision I walk up to the house and saw that the 3 inch hole is now a 6 inch wide hole. I felt too no big deal..probably gophers had dug that hole. The third day within this vision I walk up to the house and I saw that the 6 inch hole is now huge. It is now a 6 foot wide hole in the ground at the house foundation and as I looked down into it I could not see a bottom...I was scared. I am feeling that the whole house is in danger now of falling into this hole. So I took a shovel and for hours I took dirt from our adjacent lot and filled hole. I finally filled the hole with dirt and as I was patting the top of it down for finishing, I saw the dirt rumbling. All of a sudden, something popped out of the dirt. Now you are thinking, what could come out of this dirt? Me too! But what did pop out was a baby eagle of about 8 inches tall and it proceeded to walk all around me. Then soon after, another baby eagle came out of the same dirt and he too walked all around me. I am thinking in my vision what is this all about? What is going to happen next?Well, then came a big rumbling and something big came out this time. It was the mother eagle and she was tall at about 3 foot high. Now all three danced around me! Why?Finally, there was even more ground shaking and this time the daddy eagle at about 4 foot tall popped out of this dirt area. Now all four danced around me and then down my front walkway into the adjacent field, never to be seen again. And that was the ending of the vision. At that precise moment when the eagles all left, I woke up and remembered it all and wrote it down on paper so I would not forget it. Later that early morning, I told my wife Carol of this incredible vision. But this story is not finished. Later that day I was taking pictures of clouds in my back yard. Lots of pictures. That night I downloaded all of those photos of that day and I just could not believe my eyes. I found a REAL cloud photo of an eagle head. It is one thing to have a dream or vision but this was simply unbelievable. The picture I am referring to is the one at the top of this article. This photo is in REAL LIFE just hours after I had the vision of the eagles. As you can see, this photo shows an eagle head with a big eye and beak and mouth looking upward towards the sun. Now, it would be just great to take a photograph of the sky and clouds and get a photograph that had a cloud formed as an eagle. Anyone would probably want to show that off to their friends. But it is entirely different to have a real photo of an eagle cloud but also to have a vision of the eagles the night before. It almost feels like something is creating the vision and the eagle cloud.I don't know about you, but I am thinking how could this happen. Now I realize you can have a dream or vision and it can be expressed in our reality. This is the proof of it. Now I could show others like I am showing you. But still we are not done with this story. The next day I was in a nearby town getting a massage from my friend Kathleen, who is very intuitive. As I was leaving, she said "Wait...they are telling me to give you this book." She gave me the "Mystical, Magical, Marvelous Book of Dreams." I did not look at it, but this book shows you how to interpret your dreams. Well, I immediately go home with the book in hand when my wife Carol takes the book out of my hands before I even got to look at it. She immediately opens it up by chance to the middle somewhere and it is the page that tells about interpreting eagle dreams. Another coincidence? It defines seeing eagles as Spiritual Wisdom. So what does this all mean? But wait...a few days later on Saturday of that week, Carol and I go to The West Wind in Grass Valley, a retail shop that friends of ours own. As I was looking around the shop, I see a gold necklace with a gold eagle head that has a diamond for the eye. It is virtually the same image as in the photograph in this article. Well, I felt it was so appropriate to what had happened all that week. I bought it and still wear int every day. That is my eagle story!I am sure many of you have had similar experiences where messages all line up in some particular way and you feel like someone is communicating with you. I just wanted to share this very special one...one in which the message was reality and I could actually show it to you.-Tom Lumbrazo

"One Young Woman That Came to Say Goodbye" Earlier this year, a woman friend called me and asked that I come to the nearby hospital as soon as possible as her young daughter of 20 years old was in the ICU and dying of cancer. I had never met the daughter and I did not know that there was anything that I could do. I arrived at the hospital within the hour to do what I could. The first image that I had of this young woman was very difficult to take in. She was in a fetal position, with tubes in her mouth, and wires everywhere. So much equipment and technology. I cried when I saw all of this.I spent nearly 2 hours with her and held her where I could given all this equipment. I could feel her relax to a small degree. I tried to comfort her and her mom.Later that week, the young woman's mom called me to come see her daughter again. This young woman had, in fact, asked her mom to call me to come back. And I did go back that day to see her. I spent another 1 1/2 hours with her and tried to comfort her and then I left. About a week later, I had not heard from the mom so I called her. She said her daughter had passed quickly after the doctors started chemotherapy that week. What could you say but that you were so sorry! I felt so helpless that I couldn't help this beautiful and bright young woman with so much to live for and to accomplish in this world. One afternoon two weeks later, I was relaxing in my backyard and often looking upward at the sky, when I saw this very unusual cloud formation. It just would not go away and just stayed over my house for 20 minutes. That by itself, was weird. I ran into the house to get my camera and took lots of photographs. What I saw that afternoon, I can share with you. It is the image of what appears to be a young girl's face in profile looking to the right. You can clearly see the outline of the head and face, an eye, a little nose, mouth, and even the hair. I was just amazed! Who can really say what this was? But it felt to me that this young woman who died two weeks earlier had come to say "Hi!" to me and perhaps "Goodbye!" as well. For me, there is no doubt that this is the young woman who had recently come into my life. There was no other explanation that I could accept or that made sense. I could feel her in my HEART! There are certainly many lessons one could take from this event. For me, it is an example of letting ourselves be aware enough to see, hear, feel, and interpret messages that can get our attention in ways that are not commonly accepted. In the future, perhaps you will experience something like I did. -Tom Lumbrazo

"King Daniel Appears in the Sky" In 2009, I had spent long hours creating my first book called "Journey to the Sky---Messages from the Clouds". In June 2009, I was anxiously waiting for the copies of the book to be delivered to my house. I am sure that you can imagine how excited you might be to get the copies of your first book after spending so much time and effort creating it. Finally, later in June I got the call that it was coming that very day. I went home and waited for the truck to arrive. My publisher was also coming from the San Francisco Bay Area to pick up copies at my home. While waiting, I decided to do some chores around the house and happened to go outside into the front yard. I looked up at the sun and saw this huge cloud over the sun. I ran into the house to get my camera and took several pictures of this very unusual cloud. After the books were delivered, and my publisher came and picked up his copies, I downloaded the photographs into my computer. I was clearly astounded by the photographs of that day. As you can see, it was more than a cloud. It was an image of something...but I could not be sure. My first impression was that it was a being of royal nature, or a king as it appeared to have something on its head. I could see the face very clearly in profile looking to the left with an outline of its head and face, nose, eye, and mouth...and its hands appeared to be clasped together as if in a praying position. I decided I needed some help deciphering these photos. I have a close psychic friend, Francie Marie, who has given me great advice and predictions over the years that have been remarkably accurate. So I emailed her the picture to see if she could determine what it was. She almost instantly replied that she was getting that this was a representation of King Daniel. I felt her answer was just unbelievable. How could this be? Why this sort of cloud over my house? What did it mean? As you can imagine, I did some research on the internet about Daniel, the Book of Daniel, Daniel in the Bible, Daniel and the den of Lions, etc. He was regarded as a saint, prophet, and famous for interpreting dreams. Daniel was at the time of Ezekiel, King Cyrus the Great, and Babylon and so much more. Still today, I really don't know what exactly this cloud is. Could Francie Marie be right as she so often is? There certainly is no doubt that this cloud is more than just a normal cloud. There can be no coincidence that water vapors formed in this way to create this form in the shape of a human being. What is truly weird is that this cloud came the same day and moment of the delivery of my first book to my home. Did the cloud have something to do with my book coming that day? For me, I am going with Francie Marie's interpretation as there are no other logical explanations that I have found. But what does it all mean? Perhaps someday we will all know.-Tom Lumbrazo

"THE EXTRATERRESTIALS AND SELF EVALUATION!" There has been much discussion over the last few decades about ET's or Extraterrestials---Living Intelligent Beings from another planet or dimension. Some people don't believe in them at all, some truly believe, and most are waiting for the ultimate proof of them. Given our expanding knowledge of our planet and the universe in which we reside, it is getting much harder to believe that we are the only "intelligent" lifeform in our universe. With instruments like our great telescopes on many mountain tops throughout the world, and most recently the incredible Hubble Telescope circling our globe, we all are getting an amazing glimpse through photographs of other planets, stars, nebula, and other galaxies. With perhaps hundreds of thousands or millions of galaxies and each with billions of stars just in our universe, can we still be sure that we are "alone"? Can we still hold to the believe system that this universe was created just only for us?Moreover, many quantum scientists now believe that there are perhaps many universes, not just ours, and that perhaps there are many dimensions as well. Of course, this all raises those the age-old questions of how did we get here?, is there a creator?, what is the meaning of our lives?, and where do we go from here?.As you can see, I have included several photographs of clouds I have taken over the last few years. These photographs open the imagination to the potential appearance of other intelligent life forms. These and other similar ET Clouds can be seen in my recent books, "Journey to the Clouds", and "Faces of the Universe". Some of the questions that immediately came to mind when I first saw these cloud images were:[1] How could such precise cloud images form in our skies?[2] Are these, perhaps, some of the ways ETs could look?[3] What if such ETs came to visit us? Of course, you can imagine I started to reflect on our world as it exists today. I thought of all the people in our world, all the differing cultures, the multitude of our roughly 7 billion people, and how we all live. Actually, we are quite diverse as a human species. There are people with yellow skin, black skin, white skin, brown skin, and so many other variations of these colors as we have intermixed. We have so many differing belief systems across the globe, including the many religions and cultures. We have even different languages to speak to each other. But, in the end, we do all look like human beings. For me, as I think of our world and the people within it, I am left with the strong impression that we are not doing so well. It seems that we all are living in this world in a state of Fear. We have drawn strict distinctions in our minds about who we can trust and who we cannot, and we live with all that within us every single day. There really is no Peace among most of us.This Fear we have shows up so much in us in our understanding and relationship with other people. We seem to have a difficult time having close relationships with people that are different than us. The differences could be simply skin color. Or the differences could be our language differences, or our cultural differences. And so on! So I pose the questions to you:Why would an advanced race of beings visit us once they discovered that we don't even get along with our own kind?If an advanced race of beings did visit us and it became public knowledge, how would we react? What if several different advanced races of beings visited us?What if they looked like reptiles? Or amphibians? Or what if they had wings? Or you can see through them as if light? What if they looked scary, but really were very nice beings? How would we react? Could we accept, even love them? Given our inability to even accept or trust ourselves on this singular planet, could we really believe that we could accept an alien type being coming here? Could you really see yourself shaking hands with an ET? Could you see yourself sitting on a bench with an ET? Could you hug an ET? Could or would you trust an ET? In my opinion, there is a lot of work to do before we could accept ETs visiting our planet and perhaps living and associating with us. Given our human history, we would likely try to capture or kill them before there was a chance of any friendly encounters. Even more likely would be worldwide panic, chaos as everyone would be in a state of uncertainty about who and what they are and what are they up to. Could you, for example, comfortably go to work everyday or go to the supermarket or to the ballgame knowing that an ET race was here and showed its presence?Perhaps we would be jealous of their intelligence or their technology? Perhaps they would be even more beautiful than our species? Perhaps they would be more compassionate loving beings than we could ever be? Perhaps they are just better than us and that would be a blow to our human egos. All these sorts of questions really ask us to evaluate ourselves. It asks us to really think who we are and how we could cope with incredible, even unimaginable, circumstances. In the end, whether ET's come or not, we are stuck on this planet and have to exist here together in some way. Perhaps we can exist in peace someday or maybe we are destined to live with conflict, war, and death forever. My question to you is what kind of world do you think you would like to live in? The one we have now? This is the easy alternative. It does not take much to distrust and fight. Or a world in which we live in better harmony, love, and compassion. The is the really hard choice since it takes everyone working towards this goal. Are you up to it?-Tom Lumbrazo

"Taking a Moment to Realize Peace" This is a story of Peace and how messages come to all of us. Above you see a photograph of the Peace Pagoda in Battersea Park in London, England. My wife Carol and I took a trip to England in 2008 and one of the things we wanted to see and experience was this Peace Pagoda. As we approached the park entrance, we saw the park directory. To our surprise, the Peace Pagoda was listed as the 11th feature of the park. Things that happen for me are usually an 11 in some way, a signal that something is about to happen. Perhaps you see 11's too. As we approached the Peace Pagoda, we realized how amazing it was. It was a beautiful and significant structure. It was quite tall and each of the four sides of it had another face of the Buddha in gold. We just examined it and meditated there for about an hour. We had to take it all in. It was as though we could not leave it. The Peace Pagoda did leave within us a sense of peace. Inner peace within ourselves and the wish for peace for everyone around the world. Of course, peace among peoples has been an illusive goal for all of human kind. We found out that the Pagoda was built to convey that civilization is not about killing human beings or to destroying things, but to have mutual affection and respect for each other. PEACE!After absorbing all that we could from the Peace Pagoda, we left the park by foot. It took a while to reach a public street as the park is quite large. For about 15 minutes, we walked the public streets in a direction to the hotel we were staying. As we strolled down the London public streets, we talked about this Peace Pagoda---that it was so amazing. We were struck by the efforts of some people to create monuments to peace such as this Pagoda, and we wondered out loud whether people really appreciated the meaning of this structure.Suddenly as we continued to walk, Carol almost shouts to me that she sees a silver object on the sidewalk. This is not an unusual occurrence for her as she has some "Raven" qualities in her personality. You know how the raven collects silver objects on its travels and brings them back to the nest. Carol then bends over this object and says to me, "you won't believe this!"I still didn't know what this was all about. But the suspense about learning what she just found really got my interest. It was as if she was purposely holding back what she had found because it was so meaningful to her. And then she picked up the silver object and held it in her closed hand...again holding back the secret as a child might do. She said again..."you just won't believe this...it is so weird for this to happen!"Then she opened her hand to expose the object as if she had some magic to show me. And there it was! A silver charm...so small but so meaningful to us. It was a silver charm image of a peace dove!We just stopped right there on the sidewalk and stared at it in her palm for quite some time, just trying to contemplate the meaning of all of this. Here we made a conscious effort to see the Peace Pagoda, spent over an hour there taking it all in, and then outside the park on a public street came confirmation...confirmation of peace. We felt just at that moment that peace was delivered to us and that we should work harder at bringing peace to ourselves first, then others. We, of course, thought that this was not coincidence. It could not be given these circumstances. What are the odds that we would honor the Peace Pagoda, and just minutes later find, see, and hold a peace charm. You and I know that most people would have not even seen this little object on the sidewalk. They would have passed it by so to speak. Most people simply don't think about peace, perhaps because it has been so hard for human kind to achieve it. It just seems that it will never happen as we gaze through the newspapers and internet everyday to the wars and struggles between people all over the world. For us, the Peace Pogoda and then Peace Charm were reminders of this goal of peace. We have come to believe that each person must believe in and feel inner peace within themselves first before we can even realize world peace between the peoples of the globe. In our minds, this inner peace means that we must work everyday in small incremental steps to instill within ourselves what peace really means. The Pagoda message is right---there must be mutual affection and respect for each other. There can be no peace without these. We believe that we should strive to show how peace, honor, and respect for others...other people, and even beings in the animal, insect, and plant kingdoms, and certainly to our struggling planet. This is a worthy goal and can be accomplished if lots of us simply act in small steps everyday when we encounter people in our family, our jobs, and even strangers. The point of this is that we, as human beings, receive messages everyday. But are we listening? We happened to have an important message come to us in April 2008 in a foreign country...and we felt it and recognized it. In the end, the message reminded us that we still need to struggle for peace everyday despite being busy with our job, business, or family. This is just one example of how messages can come to us as human beings. We have experienced many messages over our lifetime and now more than ever, we pay attention to such occurrences. It is as if we all have guardian angels that are messengers and that they send us important information at times to awaken us. But are we listening? So if you had had our experience in Battersea Park, and later the sidewalk, would you have accepted the message like we did? Do you experience messages similar to the one described in this story? Do you receive these messages and act upon them or just simply ignore them? Do you feel that these sorts of messages are real or just coincidence? Do you even have the interest or time to experience them? Think about it for a moment and.....-Tom Lumbrazo

"WE ARE NOT ALONE ON PLANET EARTH" Many have asked that age old question---Are we alone in the Universe? The question really relates to life beyond our little beautiful planet. We often think of the solar system, our Milky Way galaxy, and so many other galaxies and the billions of stars and perhaps planets. But most people seem to forget our own planet in this discussion. We come from a perspective that we are the predominant intelligent species on our planet. This is probably due to our observations of the world around us. We see plants and trees, insects, animals of various sorts, fish, and even such tiny life in the form of bacteria and viruses with the help of microscopes. So it is no wonder that we have the view that us, as human beings, are the most talented, intelligent, and advanced species on the planet. As seen in this photographs, there is life in so many places on and in our planet. On the earth, in the oceans and lakes, in the sky, and inside the earth itself. This dolphin below from the Hawaii area is one illustration of the variety of life we have here on Earth. And according to many studies, dolphins are very intelligent too. But as seen in this photograph, we mostly measure life in terms with what we can see with our own eyes. I have to say that I was guilty of this same process most of my life, except when I made a trip to Hawaii [The Big Island] in 2008. My wife Carol and I arrived on the Big Island in September 2008 and the next day we arranged for an all day trip to the top of the Mauna Kea, the tallest mountain or dormant volcano in the Islands. It is 13,796 feet in elevation and our trip was billed as a way to see the sunset on top of this mountain. We were excited to take this journey, which brought us through many climate zones and temperatures. As you can see by the photographs, the summit is desolate and very eerie. It is like a world that is prehistoric in nature. When you arrive at the top, you see no life at all. But you see about 13 observatories with various types of telescopes to study the atmosphere and the stars at night. The only life that seems to appear is the human beings that operate the telescopes and the many tourists coming up by the tour buses. But my observations were very wrong! There was more life there to be discovered. Life that is normally unseen. My discovery came at near sunset as I was taking photographs of the sunset and clouds just below the summit. Here is how it all happened---it began with me taking a clear quartz crystal and throwing it over the edge of the summit onto the gravel surface of the sideslope of the summit. There was so much loose stone and gravel that if you happened to walk on it, you would probably slide to your death about 100 or 200 feet to the road below. The crystal slid down the slope a bit to a point about 25 feet from my feet. I then took several photographs of the sunset and with the crystal in it. I was just taking in and capturing the beauty of the summit and the sunset. I then took several photographs of the gravel slope with the the crystal. As you can see, the crystal is the white object just before and to the left of the darker big rock near the left center of the photograph. Looks quite ordinary for sure. What I did not know at that moment is what I captured in the other photographs of the same view. I did not know what I had found until I came home from Hawaii and downloaded my photographs onto my computer. And there it was! As you can see, something is now on top of my crystal. These orange colored creatures appear to be investigating my crystal. I was stunned to see them so clearly. But what were they? Carol and I researched the myths of the Hawaiian Islands and found out about the Menehune. In these so called myths, the native Hawaiians mention the Menehune as little people that inhabit the islands and are 2 or 3 feet tall. Sure looks like them in the photographs. And they work at night. Well, it was dusk at the time. The mythology of the Menehune is that they will be your enemy if you are unkind to them, and if you are a friend you will be rewarded by them. For Carol and I, we were convinced the Menehune were the beings on our crystal. If not, what were they? And certainly there was something there for sure. They seem to have form and substance of some sort and heads, and maybe faces that can be discerned. Incidents like this one opened up our minds to all the life that is on our planet. I am sure there are many other life forms that are mentioned in mythology from ancient cultures and civilizations across the planet. So what is my point in bringing you this information? We are always looking to the skies for other life in the universe. But right here under our noses, there is so much life that we don't see or understand. So I think there needs to be much more rigorous study of other life forms on our planet, perhaps starting with tracing the legends about beings reported in mythology. These photographs makes you think more about the possibility that mythology is more reality. This happening also makes you ask a lot of questions. How many varieties of such living things are here on our planet? Are they good or evil? Do they interact with us already in some ways that we don't comprehend? Should we try to communicate with them? Can we learn something from them? For me, I have come to understand that I have to have much more respect for all the living and non-living things on and inside our planet. Why? Because it appears to me that we know so little and it makes sense to respect some things that are "way over our heads". I now have to put away my human ego and admit that there are living beings that might be much more intelligent or talented...and they are not human!-Tom Lumbrazo

"ELEVEN TEARS" Carol, my wife, and I went to New York City to see the sights during the holiday season. We toured the 9/11 site and saw what work was being done for the memorial there. By chance, we discovered an incredible memorial inside the American Express Corporate Headquarters Building at the World Financial Center. What caught our eye from outside the building was a giant crystal you could see hanging inside the building lobby. We had to go in and investigate. What we saw in that first floor lobby of that building made us "stop in our tracks". We had never seen anything like the memorial for the 11 American Express employees that died on 9/11. It was so captivating, so gentle in its expression, so imaginative, and so beautiful all at the same time. The intent, design and construction of this memorial hit us directly in our Hearts! To this day, neither of us can remove this image from our minds, our souls or our hearts. This memorial was designed to honor the 11 American Express employees and to move us to remember the human qualities of these individuals. It was about who they were and how they affected others in their daily lives. And what was lost.As they say, pictures are worth a thousand words. Here are some of our photographs of the memorial: (see images to the right) In my opinion, American Express and architect/designer Ken Smith have to be congratulated for such a touching memorial. I certainly would recommend seeing this memorial as it will likely impress you and stay within your mind and heart the rest of your life. One of the most interesting things I took from this memorial was the importance of each of these individuals. You could feel the importance each of them had to their husbands or wives, families, co-workers, and others they touched. As a result, I began to think how my wife Carol and I could make a difference in our lives...with all the people we know and those we will meet over the course of the rest of our lives. For example, how can we be better people, or what can we do better to be of service to others that need help? I think this kind of introspection of who you are is very valuable and can initiate thoughts about changing the way you are and what you do on an everyday basis. What about you?Tom Lumbrazo is a city planner, artist, photographer, and author and he has been married to Carol for over 40 years.-Tom Lumbrazo

"BRINGING IN THE LIGHT 2011"Are you one of the many people talking about "Bringing in the Light 2011"? For me, "Bringing in the Light 2011" is about personal reflection and intention. I believe everything starts at the singular level of the self. Conversely, many people look at 2011 on the global scale of world peace and unconditional love. Being January, this is a good time to reflect on intentions. What is your intention for Bringing in the Light for 2011?However, in my opinion, the best results begin at the personal level and then can manifest more broadly. For example, if one wants peace to spread around the planet, then one must set the example by advocating peace and exhibiting peace in daily interactions with friends, family, co-workers, and with strangers as well. These daily actions then have the best chance of spreading peace throughout the world, with one person at a time. But I also believe that to advocate any particular goal for "Bringing in the Light 2011", it is important to first concentrate on the self. The body, mind, and soul need to be at the highest levels of "good". We must "HONOR" ourselves. So what do I mean by "HONOR"?The first component is to "slow down". The greatest gift anyone can give themselves is to slow down. To get more in touch with him or herself, each individual needs to take time to be in the natural landscape or Nature. Once there we can appreciate being alive, the Earth, the oceans, the sky and all the living things we have around us. We can then take in the Blessings that are a part of our life. The second part is to "HONOR" ourselves. As a part of slowing down, we can better contemplate ourselves and our part in this grand plan of Life. Through honoring ourselves, we are more likely to assess "who" we really are as a person, "what" we have done, and "where" are we going from here. Last, an important ingredient is to "Honor our Body". The principle here is that if we abuse our living body---our flesh and blood---then it is much harder to achieve the goals we set out for ourselves. If we focus on how we treat ourselves, we have a much better chance of having healthy bodies which are important to achieving whatever goals we set. For example, honoring our body means to provide the best nutrition or food for our body, to exercise our body and mind on a daily basis where possible, and to not overly abuse our bodies with certain substances. With the influences of work, spending time with friends and family, and dealing with the time demands of all the technology at our disposal, there is little time for us to spend quality time with ourselves. So for me, "Bringing in the Light 2011" means doing one's best to honor our self, our minds, our bodies, and slowing down enough to appreciate what we have and to think about what we want to accomplish this year. With this background, perhaps we have the best chance of realizing any goals we set out for 2011. Thats how I will be Bringing in the light for 2011! How will you Bring in the Light for 2011?-Tom Lumbrazo

THERE REALLY IS A SANTA CLAUS!Everyone is always questioning whether there really is a Santa Claus! I certainly did as I grew up. Where is the proof that there is a Santa? Well, we might have it.In July of 2011, my wife Carol and I went to a fundraiser for children near the city of Lincoln, California which is near Sacramento. The fundraiser was held on a property with large acreage. As we parked and got out of our car, we looked up to the North and at about a 10 o'clock position in the sky, there He was. Santa Claus in a cloud on his sleigh and even with some of his reindeer. Now, I don't know why he came that day, and why to this location. Perhaps because the fundraiser was for the benefit of children. Perhaps he always vacations in the summer in the Lincoln area. Maybe he was keeping the reindeer in shape for Christmas. But he did come that day.As you can see by the photograph, his hat gives him away...it is a classic Santa hat. You can also see his sleigh and even some reindeer. A little fuzzy but he is there. I took several photographs...lucky I had my camera with me.We showed the photograph to some of our friendsbut just stopped at that. As November came along, the idea came to me to make this Santa into our Christmas Card. So we crafted some wording "Do you believe in Santa Claus? for the front of the card. And on the back, we said "We do", with photographs of Carol and I at 3 years old to signify the importance of Santa to children.I think that Santa wanted me to share this with you at this special time of year. The magic that Santa Claus brings to children certainly, but also to bring to all of us adults the magic and beauty of Santa Claus, and the meaning of his existence. These images in the sky have to make us wonder how does something like this appear in the clouds? What magic brings him to us? What thoughts come to mind when we see such an image in the sky?Well, for me I have to simply wonder about all of existence. What intelligence could create Santa Claus for all of us to see in the reality of a cloud? To see Santa in the sky makes me think of all the children in need around the world. It makes me think of being more helpful to others. It makes me think of being more generous and also more thankful for what I have. It makes me think of Love, Peace, Serenity, Humility, Kindness, Empathy, and Compassion. So when you see these images, what thoughts come in your mind? Does seeing this Santa change your life in some way?Enjoy the Christmas card below!
